Drywall hanging
We hang standard 4x8, 4x10 and 4x12 sheets, including fire-rated Type X, moisture-resistant and abuse-resistant board where the specifications call for them. Longer sheets mean fewer joints on tall walls and long corridors.
- Fire-rated 5/8 inch Type X assemblies
- Moisture-resistant and abuse-resistant board
- Tall walls, corridors and full floors
Taping and finish levels
Finish level is set by the specifications under the Gypsum Association document GA-214, from Level 0 to Level 5. Level 4 is the common standard for painted commercial walls and ceilings. Level 5 adds a skim coat over the whole surface and is used where there is gloss or semi-gloss paint, strong side lighting or a high-visibility space.
If the drawings do not state a level, or two sheets disagree, we point it out in the bid so the number matches what you actually need.
- Level 4 for standard painted walls
- Level 5 skim coat for critical lighting and high-gloss paint
- Corner bead, trims and control joints
Clean, scheduled work
We work on the general contractor's schedule, keep the site clean and coordinate with the trades that follow so walls are ready for paint when the schedule says they should be.

What is the difference between Level 4 and Level 5?
Level 4 is taped joints with additional coats of compound and is the usual standard for painted commercial walls. Level 5 adds a thin skim coat over the entire surface for the smoothest result under raking light or gloss paint.
Do you hang fire-rated drywall?
Yes. We install Type X and other rated board where the plans and specifications call for it.
Do you handle texture matching and repair?
Yes. We match knockdown, orange peel and smooth textures on renovations and repairs.
